Mrunalini Thakur is a passionate actor and a model. She kickstarted her career in 2019 with an international feature film “Death Of Spring” directed by Dr Sudeep Ranjan Sarkar and shot in various locations of France.
In 2020 she worked in an advertisement for Dr Reddy’s Keterol-DT product.
She has been honoured with a Naari Gaurav Sammaan 2019 organised by Antarashtriya Shatriya Virangana Foundation West Bengal.
She is preparing for a challenging role in her upcoming project Notes To A Lover which will be in the English language.
She is an awardee for GO DIVA AWARDS 2020 organised by Suru Entertainments a platform that fetches women empowerment and provides recognition to Women in their respective fields.
She comes from a simple conventional family. Born and brought up in a Hindu north India family.
Her mother, late Smt Sadhana Singh Thakur was a teacher and an immensely religious women. Her inclination and attraction towards arts & music are all inherited from her.
Her father is a Union Bank Of India employee who is fanatic about television and 70’s & 80’s cinema especially mythological and old Ekta Kapoor daily soaps and is a great admirer of Amitabh Bachhan.
She did her schooling at Atomic Energy Central School, Tarapur in English medium. She happens to venture her artistic abilities as an actor when she participated in a drama for the annual day function in school. She played the character of an Indian girl who goes to a foreign land and loses her ground as an Indian.
As a student, she uses to be on her toes for English periods especially when it was the literature period. She actively participated in role-plays when she was in class 8th and 9th for English literature period, she used to always play ” Meera bai’s” character or at times Rana Sanga (laughs) I was aggressive towards this.
